He is a proven Electrical engineer with a successful track record of leading Research and Development teams to provide sustainable and affordable solutions to Retail and financial customers. His unique talent in Self-checkout Systems Hardware, Firmware and Application Software as well as Peripherals (such as currency processing devices, printers, power supplies, Scanners, UPS and Security scales) are well supported by his strengths in assisting with Complex product, low cost and high quality solutions.  His Experience and knowledge of the Retail applications software and hardware development as well as integration (POS, TB, APIs, Platform, Cash Management Etc…) have enabled the retail Giants of the world to adopt the solution and brought vendors to new heights in the retail Hardware and Software business. Gibson Prevot’s problem solving, design improvement and product life cycle management expertise have made him one of the most recognized individuals at NCR Corporation.

With over 15 years of experience working for NCR as a Lead Design Engineer, he is well aware of his competitive and leadership skills in this given market, and his proven abilities to generate cutting-edge product innovation and development. During his employment at NCR, he extensively worked on Self-checkout and Kiosks Systems architecture, peripherals development and integration. He has led the self-Checkout system to become not the number one in the market but also a Global solution. He has also, revolutionized the Self-checkout and Kiosks hardware and software architecture, performance, manufacturing, service and cost to improve year on year profitability across all organizations. He has pioneered the retail self-service currency, printing and weighing processing Hardware and Software from the vending, Casino and transportation industries. In his most recent position, as a hardware design engineer, he has introduced the first Global full recycling Self-checkout systems and peripherals with built in preventative maintenance alert as well as service tracking and enhance diagnostic philosophy built-in. In addition, he has reduced the service cost and improved the quality with 20 percent SCMY reduction. The number of total Service part and Manufacturing inventory went from triple to double digits numbers.

Prior to joining NCR, Gibson Prevot was a network administrator with harbinger Corporation. In this position, he provided 100% customer satisfaction with zero data lost or corruption across the network.  Additionally, he ensured data preservation for at least a period of 5 years and delivery within an hour upon request. He also worked as a test engineer for LTX Corporation, where he has developed high quality ICT and functional test fixture with over 98% First Time Through rate and 0.2% No Fault Found performances in the manufacturing environment.

Gibson Prevot has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical engineering and a minor in Biomedical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He received additional training Six sigma, lean and MCSE.
